What can I say I am a little obssed with M.A.C. makeup. I swear I own every shade of eyeshadow they have created. I love their eyeshadows, they are highly pigmented and rich, with lots of lustre and sparkle. I always get compliments on my makeup and I people always ask what type of makeup I'm wearing.

Also a big fan of their foundation as well, it is very light and sheer and is not too heavy and doesn't have a unpleasant smell like some foundations do.

Mac cosmetics are truly amazing. Once i had acne prone skin and the only foundation that could covered was the mac studio fix liquid foundation. I love mac. I now have a huge collection that is only growing and growing. Some say the formulas are irritating and that may be the case sometimes but if you take care of your skin, take off the makeup before bed and actually wash your face prep prime and moisturize, YOU WILL LOVE THE END RESULTS. I do all the appropriate steps before i apply Mac. My favorite product hands down is the Studio fix liquid foundation applied with the foundation brush. I also love that if you turn in 6 products u get a free lipstick, SO LADIES DON"T THROW AWAY OLD MAC!

I so love their products, although prices are high but for me its worth it.

Eyeshadows= i love all their BRIGHT colors.....and if you love their eyeshadows its way less expensive if you buy the palette for $12 and each palette eyeshadow of your choice is only $10.

Powder= Studio Fix NC42 does it for me...Studio Fix is way better than just the press powder.

Blush= The newest "Daft Pink"....but they always have different blush colors to choose from.

As per the customer service i have received here in Orange County its been the best. They are always there to assist you!

MAC Cosmetics is a high quality brand, but I think that their stores and consultants can be intimidating because of the "couture" image the company tries to represent. My friend in college had a great lip gloss that was non-sticky by MAC that I loved to use, but I have never been able to justify the price of the cosmetics and therefore have never bought any myself.

The first time I had a MAC experience was when I made an appointment at the Macy's counter for my high school senior prom. Of course I wanted to look nice and I knew all of the other girls were going there as well.

Well to start off I am an African American with dark skin. I'm far from Blurple, but I'm not high yellow either. The woman who was available to do my make up was a white woman in her mid to late 30s. She asked me what color my dress was and I told her SPECIFICALLY a light sort of orange sherbet color, and she got excited. The WHOLE time she was telling me that her inspiration for me was Beyonce'. Now like I told you my complexion is more like that of Gabrielle Union and not Beyonce', but this women hadn't noticed. She layered my eye lids with this bright orange shadow and highlighted it with another darker orange and needless to say when she was done I looked like a freaking crustacean. I was so embarrassed and didn't know how to tell her I didn't like it, because she was so excited. (I was young then.) I remember walking through the mall with my head down because everyone was staring at me. When I got home, I tried to wipe some of the make up off but it really hadn't done much help due to the amount of crap that was covering my face. I wanted to cry.

I know it is contradictory to have this type of review with decent star ratings, but I now use this product all of the time. I choose not to let any of the "make up artist" do my make up for me, for fear of this happening again. All in all this is a great product and I recommend it to my friends; in fact a friend recommended it for me. Just beware of the "make up artist" because like another person said before me, not all of them are certified or professional make up artist. They just like playing dress up and think of the general public as their dolls.

THE best! best pigments in shadows, great selection , foundation is OIL FREE and gives you the flawless look (when used correctly, it wont clog your pores as it hypoallergenic) use the concealer for your troubled spots and blend over with the studio fix. just don't use the studio fix for touch ups or to refresh, that's not what its made for, it may look like a powder and feel light like a powder but it is in fact a foundation just like the liquids! if you want to refresh/touch up use a blot powder (translucent but with a tint of color so you don't look powdered or pastey) a pressed powder or the fix plus thats what they are meant for! As long as you are matched up correctly and shown how much to use (ie how to use it CORRECTLY) you should also wash your face at night and use a moisturizer to keep your skin clean and fresh (if you don't want to look powdery with the studio fix use the STROBE cream before you put it on, it will give you a luminous glow). Prices are also way below other high end cosmetic lines, and best of all, you can try ANY product out, even mascara and lip stuff, and if you dont like it you can bring it back for a FULL refund! will last you 3 times as long as drug store items, Look better, Feel better, more choices, and in the end, save you money and make you beautiful! Mac addict for life here!

it was amazing

I was initially overjoyed when I discovered MAC makeup. Great colours, great cover. HOWEVER I switched to their Studio Fix powder foundation and my face began to develop sores. No joke. Couldn't work out what it was until I switched back to what I was initially using (Clarins) and the problem cleared up straight away. Sure, MAC covered up the problem, but it also CREATED the problem. I do not have sensitive skin, and have never had a skin reaction to anything before in my life. I am really shocked, there must be some nasty ingredients in their products.

As a Make-up Artist I think Mac is great. eyeshadow Colors are endless and last long. lipglosses are excellent something for everyone. lipsticks... i like the matte ones cause they last longer and they always smell soo good! well all of them do. Brushes work very well, some of the best brushes ive came across!  I like using the foundations and powders for photoshoots face looks flawless on camera. I like there lip pencil sharpener ive had it for 4years and it sharpens like new :) there mascaras are good not as good as other brands. On myself i use different makeup lines. from Laura Mercier to CVS eyeliner! use whatever works for you!
Overall this cosmetic line is excellent and alot cheaper than most cosmetic lines.

I love MAC's eye shadows. I use them everyday. They have awesome colors and a wide range of options for a girl/guy who has glamour in mind. I use their SPF 15 Foundation on a daily basis and it is the best foundation I have ever used (I have extremely sensitive skin). I was not too impressed with their eyeliners, mascaras, and lipstick. I think they are extremely expensive for the most part, and that there are some less expensive competitor products that may be just as good in some areas. Check out the eye shadow though. <3

Mac is the best cosmetic company owned by lauder by what I understand. As a makeup artist. I use a little of everything but the colors are so easy and true to the eye. and very forgiving. The nail polished are to the greatest I have ever experienced as a nail tech. The customer service is outstanding friendliest ever. The counter help has the best trained eye. And very helpful. I love the counter at Macys Bridgewater commons Mall. Actually all the counters are very nice there. Better than Lord N taylor. I have a feeling the cosmetics manager must be nice to work for. I tried a lot of different brands of make up. But MAC is the best. I love it since the first minute I put it on. I have sensitive eyes and I love make up. I don't feel any irritation with mac, it stays all day long and the color is still the same as in the morning.

Okay first off, not only is this the BEST cosmetics I've ever experienced but the BEST costomer service as well. I went to the Concord store today and OMG everyone was so great and made me laugh so hard! I loved them all and they all knew their stuff! love the product, love the people and I will definently be back for more on payday!!!

Some good products and some poor.  Like the shadows.

I was always told that MAC employees were "make-up artists." I went today to get my make-up done for very important pictures. The girl did such a bad job that she had to do it over. She told me that they dont have to school to work there, they only have to go to an "interview" in which they have to apply make up to a model. If they do well then they get hired. I will never go to MAC for make up service. I dont really know how good their products are but dont I dont recommend their services. I was really disappointed and had to cancel the picture appointment.

the first time i tried mac's cosemetics was when i was a bridesmaid for my cousin in oz and she hired a mac makeup artist.before this occasion i never knew what shade was right for me, let alone anything about brands and what was best for my skin but after seeing the results, i was blown away.you definitly need to use the right skin care so mac goes on smoothly and doesn't look oily.the only thing i have a problem with is the eyeliner, i haven't found one that slides on easy, quick and smudgeproof.the concealer is a life saver though, eliminates dark shadows under the eye!!

mac foundation is the worst for your skin. they use fish oil and petroleum in their foundations which make you break out...but their eyeshadows are really great...just dont use their skin products!

I love Mac Cosmetics. I never really liked to wear foundation but that was before trying Mac cosmetics.

When I first used Mac Studio Fix Fluid, it made my skin complexion even for the first time... however, it eventually dried out my skin, and I started breaking out (I don't normally break out). Now I use Studio tech, and this cream based foundation creates more moisture in my skin than studio fix fluid. I like their Lustreglass because of their shine, but for something less bling bling (in terms of being able to see the individual bling of the sparkles haha) I like their Lip Glass... I'm using their lip glass in Trifle right now for something subtle because I'm in this phase of more dramatic eyes... Ive used their eyeliner ( i forgot what it's called, too lazy to check, kolk--- something something...the twisty pencil)... and like others it starts rubbing off after awhile on my skin, even though when i first began to use it it stayed on.. it has to do with my skin, i dont know, it gets used to it and goes against the eyeliner or something haha.. I really want to use their eyeshadows now.. I've been using this other brand, and it doesnt blend as well as I have heard Mac's does.

I absolutely love M.A.C. Cosmetics. This amazingly fluent cosmetic company possesses a variety of products that cater to an array of demographics. I have quite a few favorite lines and products, however; if I had to choose my ultimate favorite, I would state it to be "M.A.C. Lipglass". This is the ultimate lip gloss. As a lip gloss fanatic, if I were to create the ultimate top 10-15 list of best lip glosses, I have ever used, M.A.C. lipglass would definitely make the list, without hesitation. If you haven't tried it, I truly recommend trying it. With that stated, M.A.C. Cosmetics is absolutely wonderful!

I love MAC!! I'm not a big makeup person but when I do wear it - I mostly wear MAC. I love the looks. I love sitting in the chair and having them make me over. MAC makes me feel like a superstar. The products look great on me and even strangers compliment me. I also feel good because it's not just drugstore make-up. My best friend is obsessed and has over a thousand dollars in their makeup but I don't go that far. I usally buy the products used in my makeover - every few months. One thing I don't like is that the local MAC branch near my home has a policy that you must buy 5 products for a full face makeover and 3 for a eye makeover.

  I used MAC studio tech and fix before... I forgot which one of those is the cream foundation but whichever it is, it broke my face out ALOT!!!

Im guessing that it depends on your skin type.. It did cover up abosolutely all flaws on my face but over time I was covering more flaws that come from using it than what I had before. im 50/50 on it.

I don't really like MAC at all. The lip gloss is probably the only product I would recomment

Some of their foundations made me break out badly. The concealer in the little tube is fantastic, good coverage and illuminates the eye area nicely. The Lipglass lip glosses are fabulous and worth the money.  I would like to try the eye liners next.

Mac is an amazing cosmetics line because it works and it is affordable! Such cheap make-up but great quality is really rare. I love their frost eyeshadows and the lipgloss really makes your lips look a lot more plump! Their blush is great, as is their mascara and eyeliner. I really have nothing bad to say, you just have to try it for yourself.

I just bough mac foundation yesteray and oooo man is it good first of al my skin feels so smoothe and it looks absolutely flawless. i give this one 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up n i recomned t everyone =)

Reading these reviews, it is apparent that there are MAC employees writing many of them. I do like mac makeup, and occasionally splurge on an eyeshadow or lipgloss, but honestly you pay for "MAC" written on it; i think that drug store makeup may be just as good. ADVICE: DO NOT get the mascara. clumpy and irritating

MAC Cosmetics is amazing! I was introduced to this amazing cosmetic company a few years ago by a friend of mine who does makeup for a living. He suggested to me one night on the phone "Sarah, you have to try MAC Cosmetics" and continued "I use this makeup on the celebrities and people I work with, you are going to love it" hence why we got on the subject of foundation, lip gloss, and mascara (among many other members of the cosmetic family). I was strictly determined and decided to order a few things from the official website. I use a lot of MAC Cosmetics and I am truly impressed. I truly recommend MAC Cosmetics for anyone really. I guess the only people who do not appreciate MAC or wouldn't appreciate MAC are people that aren't willing to spend over $10 for a lip gloss. If you are one of those individuals that wouldn't spend a little extra for quality, I don't recommend MAC to you. Sure their products are more expensive than the average cosmetic quo, but they are worth it, as a result. I could go into detail of their products, but that would take over 5,000 characters.

I recently started using MAC... and I wont go back.. I used regular drug cosmetics, and now I am in my thirties- I pretty much have to apply it super thick, and with a butter knife to make it look good, and then reapply through out the day. With MAC, I apply in the morning, and I am done for the day, and I still look great at supper.:)

Studio Fix rocks. Always has. Works better on combo skin, though. Here's a tip: apply it with a fresh cotton ball, never the applicator sponge or brush. Bacteria transfer. So easy to apply, perfect results even in a speeding cab heading for midtown Manhattan.

When I first bought this product I loved it..but over time I noticed my skin was getting rather nasty. I had no idea what was going on with my skin. I went to my dermatologist and he asked me what makeup I wore. When I told him MAC he informed me that it was one of the worst types of makeup for skin! I stopped using it and my skin started to get better. I know use mineral makeup and my skin is so much healthier. I'm not saying that everone should not use MAC. I dont recommend people with sensitive skin to use it.

I absolutely LOOOOOVE Mac Cosmetics. The foundation and concealer is by far the best i have tried and used and i wont use anything else now. (and i have tried many) Mac is only sold in one store in Perth, Australia so i order regularly online which is fantastic. The endless array of eyeshadows is just magic - they are easily applied and look and feel great. For anyone who is saying it is overpriced - thats ridiculous - here in Australia we pay twice as much for the same product as in the states and i still buy it!! MAC is definitely worth a go - it has such funky packaging and makes you feel a million bucks!

I bought the foundation, powder and concealer last week, had to return it twice because they could match my skin tone. Yes, the Studio Fx has great coverage, but the powder is cakey-it has to be applied with a brush not the applicator that comes with it. You cannot reapply it during the day without looking ready for the funeral home. They only have yellow and pink fuondations and on someone light complected like myself it doesn't work. I got my money back at Macy's, no questions asked.

O MAC what do i feel about you... If you have the extra cash yes go out and have fun with all there wonderful colors of eye shadow to choose from. But seriously way too expensive! I rather go spend my money on something else. How many eyeshawdos do we need? One comment DO NOT buy their studio fix powder! So bad for your skin, come on its stage makeup. And i know it gives us the best coverage ever...i used it for awhile. Then i realized it is cakey makeup, gets on ur shirts your boyfriends pillows & most important CLOGS UR PORES like no other!

I just recently started using mac makeup and it is the best! i didnt really like to foundation at first, because i need foundation because of my uneven tones, because it had this pastey look to it. little did i know that you are supposed to set your makeup with powder! i had the most flawless face i'd ever seen. and it photographs great too lol. none-the-less, their brushes and makeup are the best out there. if u havent tried it, or tried the rest of their makeup [not just lipstick]. then i suggest you do.

I bought some MAC eyeshadows last week, and after two days, developed a very bad reaction. Today, when I went back to return the product, I was told I wasn't allowed to because of some "law", and was given a 1-800 number to call, apparently so I can get an RMA number and then ship my product there. Apparently, this is their policy. So, across all the MAC counters, no one can return product, but rather all customers need to call the 1-800-387-6707 number. Does this make sense to anyone? Is this true? I am so inconvenienced and outraged, I will not buy MAC again.

I am a professional makeup artist based out of Hollywood, California. I have been in the industry for 6 years and I cannot tell you enough how much this makeup brand has changed my life and career. In the beginning, I used to use the higher-end cosmetics, like chanel or dior, but really they are all no good with some exceptions. I remember one day I had my makeup case stolen from my car and on that same day I had a photoshot for TeenPeople Magazine in Glendale, CA. I was very stressed out and all I can do at that moment is step out of my box and buy lower priced makeup and brushes because there is no way I am going to throw an eight-thousand dollar shoot out the window. It so happend that there was a MAC store at the Glendale Galleria and I decided to walk right in. The first step I took at this location, I felt acknowledged as the team of MAC yelled "WELCOME!" as if I was in a Sushi BAr. It was the best feeling ever, next a guy approached me and I told him my deal. " I dont have a lot of money, I have to go to a photo shoot in about an hour and I need stuff for a 15 year old girl with acne prone skin for camera." He recommended Select SPF foundation and Select Coverup Concealer and Select Sheer Loose Powder. Then he recommeded some nice eyeshadows, which Girlie, Haux and Vanilla became my everyday favorites. Then Blushbaby Blush , spice lipliner, Viva Glam 5 lipstick and Love Nector Lusterglass. OMG....Can I just say how amazing those photos came out? The model's skin looked flawless and the girl had problem skin like no other. That foundation and powder did wonders and because of the finished product, I wanted to try it on myself. I went to buy the Studio Stick Foundation...omg... beautiful... I mean.. forget chal or dior... i totally switched to MAC all the way.... and I am never pressured when I go to a MAC store. Awsome Awsome product, with appropriate pricing.

I have bought MAC lipstick only once> First of all, the saleslady gave me the wrong lipstick, other than the one I had chosen at the counter after trying on several shades. I exchanged it the next day. Less than 2 weeks later, the lipstick (cap on) fell from my hands-- and the lipstick inside broke. I continued to use it, nonetheless. The lipstick feathered on my lips more than any other lipstick I have ever tried, and the cream base didn't stay on my lips longer than an hour. The last straw was a few weeks later, when the lipstick started to MELT (in March!)! I kept it in the fridge for a few days, but NO improvement-- so I threw it away. What a waste! Maybe it was just my bad luck. But I am never buying MAC products again.

This make-up is the best i have tried. My friend Dennis which is a male is gay and uses this make-up and he can pass for a girl. he loves it very much.

I'm not a regular make-up user, but MAC has a fabulous cosmetic range. It's not just strictly for Black and Asian skin as they have a wide selection of lipsticks, foundations and mascara's for a whole spectrum of skin tones. The colours are just right and not too bright to give women that horrid crusty the clown look, its more suttle and elegant. Their cosmetics are a bit pricey, but you definitely get your moneys worth. I would tell any woman who hasn't found a suitable cosmetic brand to at least try MAC.

I cannot live without MAC studio Fix foundation - I am approaching 30 and it knocks years off my skin! It is an expensive outlay but it lasts me nearly 2 years so is a complete bargain.

over rated, over priced, and tooo complicated. this is just a really, expensive, really trendy product. In most cases i believeyou get what you pay for. Not in this case. I just felt really stupid for spending soo much money on make-up that made me look pastey. I've spent much less money on much better products.
