 | CanadaSucks (45) 02/11/2005 | A clever addition to the list. . .honest victory doens't happen that often in our lives, but it is memorable when it does. There's nothing like that feeling after (1) the big game, (2) she says yes to. . .well, anything (3) publishing that first paper or getting academic awards or simply (4) beating your buddies at cards. As long as you are classy in victory, it is a great emotion.

 | Jar-Jar Binks (16) 02/11/2005 | You get emotional when you win, you get miserable when you lose. Of course victory is an emotion. I remember back in 2000 when the Yanks beat the Mets in Game 5 that night. I was so emotional, I could hardly make it to the train back to The Bronx. I was carried away. The emotion of that victory overcame me.

 | gmanod (3) 02/10/2005 | Neither victory, optimism, or hope are emotions. The first is a state of reality, the second a state of mind, and the third a variety of anticipation. All can have inherent emotional states, most of which are already named, but none of them are states unto themselves.
