I tried playing Pinnochle a few times, but, nobody wants to play with a beginner... beginner navigator, that is, not Pinnochle player.

 | Rebecca Reid (0) 03/01/2006 | thecheeser nailed it! It is a great place to waste time. I like that it has gaming programs online that are compatible with OS X - that's not easy. Pretty fast site to navigate and lots of great games to play and download.

 | VisionDude8 (0) 11/12/2004 | Yahoo! is very easy to use, and isn't too demanding for your computer, or time, or privacy (unlike some others, like MSN). Every thing is laid out for you, and all you have to do is play!
My Favorite game is Dots. It's not as kidy'ish as you think. Heck, I'm playing it right now! I challenge you all right now. ...yeah, you heard me, right now! ;)

 | VirileVagabond (32) 05/19/2004 | I have not played most of the games on Yahoo!, just some spades, gin and mostly hearts a few years back. The play was competitive and usually fun as there were many skilled players on the site. Yahoo! breaks down the rooms into classes, usually along the lines of just for fun, amateur, intermediate, expert, and ladder (with limits on how many players can be in each room). While no one pays much attention to the skill classes since everyone thinks they are an expert, the expert and ladder rooms were still usually a safe bet. Moreover, the players generally policed themselves and set up private leagues to keep the play civil and organized. Yahoo! keeps track of the players' skill ratings and records, as well as ranks for the ladder rooms.

 | monkezuncle (0) 01/09/2003 | Really good site. I know everyone knocks yahoo but they really have some great game rooms. Canata, Spades, Heats etc. Some of the best players are on these sites and the competition is almost always friendly and fun. The players do a good job of policing themsleves as well. The only negative is that in the ratings, you have to keep playing contantly, like everyday or you will slide back down. I was #10 at one point, went on vaction and came back as #1000 and something and just becasue I hadn't played.
