Drag-u-la (The Munsters)(Suggested by Flick01) 5

Grandpa Munster's favorite mode of transportation may have been flying like a bat but when it came to his Earthly vehicles he had his own dragster built by customizer George Barris. A coffin on wheels, Drag-u-la can go from zero to 180 mph in seconds and has a parachute for brakes. The body, which sits on a tube chassis, is a fiberglass casket trimmed in purple velvet silk. It has a gold finish with gold leaf throughout. As was the style in the 1960s the driver sits behind the engine under a clear plastic bubble. The engine is a Ford 360 cubic inch which feeds power to a 4 speed manual transmission. The rear wheels are Firestone racing slicks mounted on specially made 10 inch deep Radar drag aluminum wheels made by the Reynolds Corp. The front wheels are imported Speedsport English buggy wire wheels with Italian tires. The radiator is a casket in a casket made of solid brass by Radiator Dynamics and the grill is a marble gravestone with bears the inscription Born 1367, Died ? The engine has 2 four barrel carburetors bolted to a Ram-thrust MT intake manifold. Air is fed through bat shaped air scoops. It consumes embalming fluid (gas) at a rate of 4 gallons per mile (I don't feel so bad any more) and utilizes a Dupree Chrome Dome electric fuel pump. Antique headlights and tail lights with solid silver spiders on the hub caps complete the funeral theme. The header exhaust system which is shaped like flowers, are metal organ tubes that were custom tuned for the engine. The little old lady from Pasadena may have earned the phrase go granny go but I'll bet you that grandpa would get there first.
