John Frusciante is not only a musical master but an absolute genius. His obvious mathematical brilliance only makes his music that much more amazing. I could listen to him all day, every day, and there's always something new I pick up. Like an impossible equation only he can figure out. His patterns, melodic beauty, and the way he blends it all together. Truly gifted and amazing artist and inspiration to so many. May he rock in peace! ;)

People are saying here that John cant do crazy solo's, go listen to Lyon 6.6.06, its a live performance that absolutely rox, influenced massively by hendrix but in my opinion he has improved on the work of hendrix in that solo and others like dani california. Anyway his mellow stuff is also amazing stuff, scar tissue has so much emotion, as does otherside. But one of my favourite things about this guitar legend is that he changes his solo's every time he plays live so you never hear the same solo twice which is gr8 to watch and most of the time he improves on the solo's on the original, for example californication live in hyde park was epic.
John is my hero and may he continue to create such masterpieces x

Really he is not very good. I mean he used to be be awesome but when i hear him live nowadays it is complete shite! His awful solo patterns make you want to cut off your own ears. Don't get me wrong i used to love the chilis but seriously he has lost it. And all this crap about his spirituality and soulfullness, what a load shit! Listen to some Dave Gilmour or Steve Vai then tell me they dont have "soulfullness"

Get listening to some real guitarists mo'funkers!

John Frusciante is the greatest guitarist who ever lived. He beats everyone because of his spirituality. Every day I think of him, he is my conscious through the day. I feel as though I have known him my life because he displays himself so well in his music. I don't know what I would do without John. His solo work is ingenious, and just listening will break me down. I can't explain his beauty. It is beyond skin, his personality is so beautiful that it shines out, and gives him and extra layer of beauty that no model can ever acheive. I love John Frusciante....Please give him what he deserves...5 STARS!....if i could give him more i would. He's been through the worst and pulled out when none thought he would, if he can defeat his own demons, he can help defeat mine! Love you forever John....one of your many adorors....Morgan:)

maybe he doesnt solo like crazy but this man is the funkiest and one of the most talented guitarists of all time. And for anyone who thinks he cannot solo or just isnt very good Go listen to Mothers Milk The Guys my idol, and keep in mind he even says he like simplicity
