I enjoy his top hits very much but you know and I know that he doesnt really deserve to be in the HOF. There are soo many worthier artists who should get in first!

oscar warned me to lay off rating the RRHOF candidates for my own health but I can't help myself. Eddie was about as bland as it got in an era of non-descript Rock and Roll. I suppose there should be some recognition given for reaching the summit of an entirely flat landscape, but to annoint him in a hall of legends that includes such stalwarts as The Dave Clark Five, Billy Joel and Del Shannon....... Hmmmm, ah what the heck. Let him in.

Working man's rock--a classic!

Two tickets to paradise only translates into two stars. I think there are a wealth of more worthy candidates out there.

He should get in based on the songs "We Should Be Sleeping" and "Take Me Home Tonight" alone.

not significant, influential or talented enough

Damn, Oscar, don't sugar-coat it; tell us how you REALLY feel! All kidding aside, I've never been able to figure out Eddie Money. He's not much of a songwriter, usually tempo-impaired, with a hoarse croak of a voice that has limited range, and he's not the least bit photogenic and moves with all the grace of a wounded box turtle. Yet, with EVERYTHING working against him, he's pulled off a career in the music industry, filling some sort of a niche that placated both the execs and a buying segment of the population. Hall of Fame material? Oh, HELL no! But after you've gone through your entire playlist and can't stand the thought of premature repetition, one or two of Mr. Money's tracks ("Two Tickets To Paradise" and "Baby Hold On") not only break up the monotony, but tend to make listeners more appreciative of those playlists. Still going (though not half the musician he once was, which is praising with faint condemnation), he'll always be the poor man's Springsteen, with just enough cosmopolitan appeal to squeak by on.

My hatred of the useless R&R Hall of Fame leads me to believe that this horrifying creature and the Hall deserve each other. This real life Cop Rock epitomizes the absolute antithesis of rock n' roll. He is directly oppositional to what rock music should be, and his long string of hits and corporate AOR B.S. is the auditory equivalent of a rotting corpse.

Eddie Money has and always will be, one of the greatest talents of all times. That voice is fantastic!! Sexy. Love ya Eddie. You are long overdue for this induction.

Yeah old Eddy, who got smart and quit being a New York cop to become a rock star. I truly loved his stuff for the most part, but im not sure about the hall of fame and can't put a finger on why. While he had some great hits they were usually songs written for him, not his own. That to me is points against him. There have been some great performers of other writers songs who might get in. Id like to see him do so but cant give him a vote myself.

Great, great songwriting and music. Has stood the test of time and gets better and better... Totally underrated and very deserving of this honor. He is already a Hall of Famer, now its time to make it official.

Eddie Money is the most dedicated musician! He is STILL out there performing, giving us his all!He STILL sounds great and puts on a fabulous show. A genuine rocker, loving what he does best. He SO deserves to be voted into the R&R Hall of Fame. He has been at this for YEARS now, and we have all enjoyed his music at some point in our lives. Wish we could give it back to him with the honor of being inducted. Try one of his greatest hits cd's if nothing else!

He is sooo long overdue! Who is more of a rocker than Eddie Money?
leebassfan 07/28/2005
Eddie is deserving of this honor. He is a wonderful performer. I never tire of his music or seeing him in concert. His music has been around for years and many generations listen to it. He loves to meet his fans after the shows and donates the money from his merchandise sales to a charity for children. That says alot about this man.
