Canned Heat gave of some very unique sounds in the 60's, their boogie/blues music was fun and carefree. Most of us loved that style but most of all THEY loved that style and stayed with it, showing us fun and not the down hardened worlds a mess routine that so many groups at the time were falling into. LET THEM IN!

These guys made some amazing blues, and even made an album with blues legend John Lee Hooker (Hooker n' Heat). They were also Jim Morrisons favorite blues band, coming from the same scene the Doors did.My favorites are their first two albums but "Cookbook" is a good introduction to their best material. They were one of the few white blues bands of the era to remain true to the roots of the music.

They played all the major lates 60s music festivals, and have influenced countless blues musicians since they formed in 66.
