Jerry is one of the founding fathers of vintage balladeer soul. He has enough hit records, and recognition from his peers to warrant some kind of consideration for induction. One of the great soulful voices of our time.

He is the biggest omission among soul artists, more deserving than Ben E. King who is the top voteb getter on this site.

I seriously don't why Jerry keeps getting overlooked. His chart presence, especially in the 60's, was something else. A very unforgettable qand unmatched voice. Should have gone in just as early as his co-hort Curtis Mayfield. Solomon Burke before Jerry, okay, but Percy Sledge before him--WHAAA???
