listen to "since i've been loving you" (4th track of led zeppelin III, released 1970) and tell me thats not the greatest vocalist of all time, the control of his voice, the notes he hits are ridiculous, and that's what makes him the quintessential singer....... no one else can do that, he blows ian gillian's (deep purple's lead singer) performance of "child in time" out of the water.
