I'll be honest. I'm not in general a fan of the genre of metal. Nothing wrong with it. I just don't like its sound. Personal preference. That said, it is extra impressive that I absolutely adore Manowar, one of the only metal bands that I would pay to see live in concert. And the reason? Eric Adams. He has to be one of the most incredible singers I've heard. He has sung basic metal (obviously), but also has sung such songs as "American Trilogy", "Phantom of the Opera" (with HolyHell), and even the Christmas carol, Silent night. And you know something? His Phantom was incredible (and I adore Phantom. I'm picky about it. He was amazing). His range and strength of voice is amazing. He has a four octave range, I believe. He can hold a perfectly pitched high note for almost 30-40 seconds. (That may not sound long to you, but try holding any note for that long, then try to imagine it higher and louder and stronger). The man really puts on a show. I've seen clips of their li... Read more

One of the greatest and most underrated rock vocalists ever! This man has solid 4-octave range, he has amazing baritone voice and he can sing really low, even B1, and hit higher screams than many other vocalists combined! His Bb5 on "Blood of the Kings" is one of his best screams and he is known to hold screams for over 30-seconds live. He has also sung opera. He really deserves more credit. Even though I don't like their lyrical content, Eric's voice alone is the reason I love their music!

Eric Adams is truly such a talented singer, with a wide dynamic range of power and melody, he can really sing as well as scream - at pitch - and hold notes like there's no tomorrow. He uses these abilities perfectly to suit the emotion of each song and each lyrical passage. You can feel the emotion he is trying to get across. What a great singer. He should really get more recognition. He is the unique characteristic that defines Manowar, and if he pursued a solo career as well I think he could be quite successful.

Who else can hold a high note scream for 30+ seconds (Black Wind, Fire and Steel), sing an Opera (Nessun Dorma), cover Elvis' "American Trilogy" and sing incredible songs? I've got no other answer than "No one" yet. And by the size of his arms, it seems he could kill anyone twice with one punch.

i do not know of another singer that can even come close to the incredible range, power, and control that eric adams has. this man did "nesun dorma" AND "an american trilogy" on one album...along with the incredibly diverse MANOWAR original material. ERIC ADAMS is one of the greatest vocalists ever,in any style of music. it would be nice if the mainstream music people would give him the credit he deserves.

Probably one of the most underrated Vocalists of our time . His voice matured with every year on stage. Stronger and more powerful than ever before, in outstanding clarity and brilliant precision. It's safe to say that the various and unique style of Eric Adams is second to none. I hope he'll get sometime the high credit he deserve. Shayenna

I don't agree with a lot of Manowar's lyrical content, but Adams is one of the greatest singers in the history of metal.
