 | Djahuti (56) 02/24/2005 | In todays hectic world,taking time to meditate can really make a big difference in your mental,emotional and physical health.I don't believe human beings were created for the kind of stress most of us experience these days.For one thing,Meditation helps people learn to breathe properly:I know this sounds silly,but if you really pay attention to your breathing,you will soon realize that it is affected by all kinds of emotional as well as physical stimuli.This means that your brain,and many other organs,are getting a widely varied flow of oxygen.(Of course,that's an oversimplification,but you can see how this will affect your entire system.)Also,we are often overburdoned mentally-and meditation, when practiced with an open mind and a little diligence can reward us with a nice break from the daily grind and problems that plague our consciousness.
