anyone ever see rolling stone's greatest 100 guitar players of all time list? no doubt there were great musicians in that list but it failed to mention jerry cantrell. he is one of the most creative/talented guitar players and still is. i guess nobody from rolling stone has even seen him perform. that top 100 list is a joke!

cantrell rules man.. he's got soo much talent yet so much feel for the sound.. no doubt should be one of the two.

Cantrell is probably one of the most respected guitar players of his time. He is very talented and has alot of technical skills. If anyone out there has tried to play Alice in Chain songs you know first hand how hard it can be. GREEN DAY ???????? What the F*&^ Emo music and punk is just terrible why is green day own this site???????? WOW !! lets give them credit they can play power chords over and OVER AND OVER YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Who Cares??????????????/

Jerry Cantrell is an innovative guitarist who always did it his own way no matter what current musical trends were. He is the real deal like Alice in Chains always were.

Jerry Cantrell has somehow eluded the fame of some of his peers, but he has been a consistent high performer, producing great songs and great guitar, and when circumstances demanded it, he even took on the role of lead singer in his own group, as well. This man seriously ROCKS!
