iPod earbuds are just too large for me, and I can only use them for brief periods of time without having sore ears (how ridiculous does that sound :P). The fact that they're "free" sort of irritates me since I tend to continue using them despite this clear physiological indication that I should not.Fortunately, my cat ate the last pair I had left from my Apple compulsion, so I was then forced to upgrade to something nicer on my ear canals. I switched to the upgraded versions of the regular apple earphones for work, and the in-ear earphones with mic for my iPhone. Neither of these were good for the gym (cord noise) so I got a cheaper pair of Sony earbuds for that purpose.

I don't like the earbuds. They just fall out and they feel very weird inside my ear. Kind of reminds me of my nose piercing. I prefer the good old reliable headphones that cover your ears these things are just weird. Plus if they break or something it's 25 or 30 dollars for new ones, I find perfectly good headphones that are 10-15 bucks man I mean seriously. I like the ipod though I'll give you that.

The buds come with the IPod. Ear buds are not the greatest, but they are free. I use them when I travel since they don't take much space. Also I use them at sports events. I plug them into my radio for the simulcast, or I even take the IPod along to listen to MY stuff between innings, or periods, or quarters or whatever.

Only complaint about the iPOD is the ear buds enclosed with it. I spent $20 to get my own folding headphones. I threw those buds away.
