CCB sucks to the fullest extent, I have heard so many people complain about them. They let charges go through on my account even though I told them not to because of a situation of a company fraudulenty (spelling?) withdrawing money from my account. They not only gave these idiots my money but then charged me up the whazoo in over draft fees. I can't even open up another checking account because of them. I now owe over $300 in fees that I have to pay off in order to clear my name and be able to open up an account at another bank. I also got charged fees for walking into their bank to deposit a check, this was under their free checking program. If you do any banking inside their bank or through the drive up, they will charge you a fee. Well, how else was I supposed to deposit my check, considering that 90% of the time their ATM machine wasn't working. What ever you do don't open an account with them. The free gift is not worth it.

I emailed CCB to get information to open 2 checking accounts. I have now waited over 3 weeks for a reply. What is odd is that this bank was recommended to me by a depositor. It seems that CCB is not interested in establishing new accounts.

It took 8 phone calls, 3 letters and 3 months to get a ATM card through our branch. The reason for this was the toll-free telephone Customer Service Center didn't have updated account-holder information which had been given to the branch where the (established) account is located. Branch Manager was not sure exactly who to contact at CCB to enable Customer Service to access the correct information. Branch Manager not returning emails on this issue. Very low level of professionalism in dealing with customers.

Their ATMS are not connected to their accounts; a deposit made there is not credited for two business days afterwards, while withdrawls are posted the next business day. ATM receipts are unreliable; a receipt from a deposit made at a CCB ATM, into a CCB account, will show an available balance that doesn't exist, and management will gleefully absorb as much of your money as possible in overdraft fees--which would not be incurred if they considered their ATMs as part of their bank, instead of cleverly disguised night deposits.

I have banked there for over thirty years and always received friendly and courteous service.
