Google's Adwords program, which allows customers to purchase keyword results that appear in the right hand column of Google's search results, has breathed new life into the affiliate industry. No longer do you need a Web site to be an affiliate - if you are good with words and predicting people's search patterns, you can buy traffic via Adwords and send it directly to the affiliate Web site. I know people pulling down $50K a year just buying and selling words.
