Mary,must have pondered on the thought of her Son and His birth being of sacrificial intent after the presentation in the temple(circumcision)the very first time Christ spilt His blood for the human race which would have awoken her out of Heavenly bliss(being the mother of the Son of God)and remind her He was here for a purpose.Sad it would have been to mark a joyous moment with a realization of future sufferings and hardships of His ministry.I imagine if Mary was a virgin she most definitely would have felt the pains of child birth in her heart at the time of Christ's passion a slow,tormenting,suffocating,heart-splitting experience.To categorize my perception of her heart-ache for images of torture endured by her Son which she probably re-visualized the most horrific scenes during the course of His mistreatment again and again and again,I can only describe it as a supernatural heart-break.
