02/21/2005 | Yeah, yeah I know they kill other insect but that's what an exterminator's for. If the spider is outside (preferably not on my property) then fine, I can live in peace. But if it's inside my home (regardless if it's in the bedroom or kitchen or den or whatever) I want it gone as soon as possible.

06/14/2004 | I like spiders, as long as they are not to close to my bed. I usually just let them be as they will eat other pests. Unfortunattely, living in NYC we don't have many spiders or other insects. I think they did lots of spraying here for mosquitoes (West Nile virus) and that must have affected also spiders and other insects.

05/27/2004 | I generally don't like them ever since I lived in Georgia for a while and saw those huge ones that are like the size of my hand (daddy long legs mind you). I couldn't believe my eyes. I live in the midwest and ours are normal sized. If I happen to see one on occasion, I won't freak out or anything as a matter of fact I'd probably leave it alone to do it's business. I don't like to kill anything anymore since I'm studying Buddhism lol.

05/10/2004 | Spiders are fine in the kitchen, just keep them out of my bed and we will get along fine.....they are great insect killers and normally leave you alone if you don't mess with them...

04/13/2004 | I really like spiders, so I'm happy to let them stay where they are and to get rid of annoying flies. If my partner doesn't want them in the house, then I just gently pick them up and let them loose outside.

04/12/2004 | Spiders are much more beneficial than they are harmful. I generally leave them alone so that they can deal with harmful insects (like flies). Rather than kill them, I just put them outdoors if I can (but sometimes it just isn't worth the bother, so...)

03/07/2004 | Don't find them in my kitchen much (nor anywhere else in my apartment, sadly), but they're fairly welcome--they can eat all the mosquitoes or other nasty insects all they want for me.

03/05/2004 | I like that they kill other bugs, but do they have to make such a big mess while they're doing it? UPDATE: for the pedantic, yes, I know they're not technically insects. But damn it they're BUGS.
