I took my car in there for a discounted smog check years ago. I'm amazed that their still in business.

They smogged my car, then some little ja drove my car around the shop like a racecar. He then told the boss excitedly with me standing right behind them (he didn't know who I was) that the car needed ten other things done. He acted like he was doing the right thing very excited, sadly I would believe that it's the boss who was proselytizing that young man into trying to cheat me. I've worked in a similar but unrelated position long ago and know how un- reputable people act.

I do my own repairs if I feel up to it, and I do know a con job when I see it. If you do get service from this company go in knowing what you want and force them to stick to their original agreement. Ask for the old parts back.

Or .. just don't go there for service. They (I'm 80% sure) get their parts from the nearby NAPA supplier which IMO is a good thing. Unfortunately It's too difficult to check their work, on that note I wouldn't recommend taking your car there.

On an unrelated note, I was buying parts at that very same NAPA and some person came in and cut in front of me in line. I mentioned it to him and he came unglued. Something tells me he probably worked for that jerk at Purrfect Auto, He seemed a mechanic to me.

Bait and switch on oil change coupon price. Was told bs about how my engine was leaking oil all over the place, when in reality their non ase certified noob tech pulled the filter off b4 most of the oil had drained out of the engine spilling oil all over my engine and the floor. The heavily tattooed/bald manager dosn't just look unprofessional, acts that way too. There's a reason they're always under new management.

Beware. Draw you in with a fantastic oil change coupon, but try to con you into high price repairs that you might not need. I paid the auburn blvd store $200 for a brake job with ceramic pads, and they told me that my rears were also very bad. I opted to wait a month on the rears. A month later I took it to another shop to do the rear only to find that my pads were in like new condition. Suspecting that my fronts hadn't needed replacing either, I checked them to make sure they had even replaced them. I found regular brakes, not the cermaics I had paid for. I checked my receipt and called Napa to find out what the part number corresponded to. It was regular organic brakes that cost $20 when they charged me $119 for "ceramics" pads. BEWARE!
