Great hockey announcer. Mature, erudite Sportscenter anchor. So much better than the young dudes they have now who only care about coming up with some arcane pop-culture reference after showing the same slam dunk over and over again. Like comparing Walter Cronkite to some pimply faced kid doing the news on Nickleodeon [That reminds me of the story where they gave a Nickleodeon kid a press pass for the Super Bowl, and on Media Day, she asked one of the Oakland Raiders, "Who has the worst breath on the team."] Mees' tragic demise is something of a mystery.
