HA.....Its not a curse the Cubs just suck

I've been rooting for the cubs for almost 19 years now. They have probably one of the best starting pitching rotations in baseball, along with a great manager, and great fans! I think possibly this could be the Cubs year. Corey Patterson came back off injury, Derrick Lee was a great pick-up and the cubs still have great veterans like Sammy Sosa, Moises Alou, Mark Grudziealanek, and now Greg Maddux.

The cubs will win it all

On paper they look great, and they've made good off season moves. I'd love to see the Cubs-Red Sox series I was hoping for last year, and I wonder how both teams will mess it up this year. Probably for the best. If the two teams ever do meet in the Series it will probably be the final series before Armageddon.

Their starting pitching is outstanding, but they don't have the quality middle relief and closer that the Astros have. That being said, their first four starters are so outstanding (better than the Astros) it might make up for any bullpen deficiencies. A great everyday lineup (Lee from the Marlins was a steal), but I feel the Astros everyday lineup is better.

A great pitching staff with Wood, Prior, Zambrano, and Clement was completed with the addition of Greg Maddux. And as big as Foulke's addition to the Red Sox, is Latroy Hawkins presence in the Cubs pen. Derek Lee will also improve the Cubbies lineup.
