I contacted Bob for a patio door job and was quoted a particular price over the phone, a very attractive low price.My first gripe is not scheduling appointments. Even the comcast guys can give me 8am-2pm timeframes. I was told "We'll call you the next business day and let you know when we'll be out". I had to call in at noon to figure out what was going on...Once the repairman showed up and did measurements the price was almost doubled. I'm sure this situation happens, variables change (type of glass, custom measurements, etc). I called Bob to discuss why the price went up significantly. I asked for the measurements so I could get competing bids (why not get a second opinion). Instead of being courteous, helpful, and friends Bob instead became extremely hostile with him and refused to provide the measurement. Why hide this information?The employee who showed up to do the work was sloppily dressed and unprofessional.I understand not wanting to lose business; but being rude and hostile about it doesn't win customers. I won't be doing business with Bob.
