Nearly anybody who's been to a bar before has done this, had it happen, or both.

But, it wasn't my carrot that fell off...

Even if he's good-looking, had a nice personality, and acted chivalrous, I'd tell him to keep his hands to himself. One-night stands (or rather "lay downs") aren't my kind of thing. I'd rather spend an intimate moment with just my fiance.

I'd tell her that you're two years too late- meet my wife. . .she's hotter than you. . .
sfalconer 02/04/2006
Does my wife know about this and is she ok with it? dending on the answer is how most guys would respond to this!

Well I have had this offered and one way I handled it was in your dreams only I find out this is a dangerous way of handling it.. he got quite vicious, someone told me if I say im married it sounds as if he might have a chance if I wasn't, so I kindly say No, sorry I don't see you that way.

I'd say back off jerk.

one of my friend's 20 yr old son propisitioned me one night out of the blue. it took all i had not to start laughing. i didnt want to hurt his feelings but hes like a son to me. i politely turned him down and said that i was very flattered by the offer but i dont do one night stands and before i could begin to feel uncomfortable i excused myself and went into the other room where i then began to laugh hysterically but as quietly as possible.the subject is never brought up and there are days he talks to me like it never ever happened and other times he wont even look at me and he gets nervous. it doesnt bother me that he asked surprised me that he did

It happens to me from time to time at gigs I play, and it is said either in body language or 'round about' clues like I dont have a problem with married men or do you have other lady friends other than your wife?. I usually just remain nice and calm and kind of let them off easy by saying your real cute but I love my wife very much, I know you can understand that and they always do. I usually feel kid of sorry for a girl like that no matter how hot she is. (none of them have been very hot so far).
jakemr33 03/08/2005
tell them, I'm sorry, I actually respect myself, but thanks for tryin.

If she's hot (Lindsay Lohan), definitely! If she's not (Martha Stewart) no way Jose!
Djahuti 03/07/2005
This has happened-and it depends on a lot of variables.Generally,I will tactfully decline as I prefer some kind of a real connection other than pure physical attraction-however,I guess I could be persueded by the right lady...If I was in a relationship,though-no way!

Jimmy Durante said, I'm not sure I would date a woman who would be interested in dating me.
Skizero 03/07/2005
now, no way. i'm married. of course i wasn't much for this in the past. i technically dont like people very much, so getting to the point where i got naked w/a stranger was pulling teeth. let's just say most of my sexual adventures were w/consenting partners whom I was typically assured I'd see the next day.

Turn her down, if she's that easy who knows what she infected with!
MS103127 10/26/2004
After she's been drug and disease tested, perhaps, but highly unlikely.
Randyman 09/16/2004
This actually happened to me on a bus in 1976, but I smelled a rat and politely declined. It seemed like a setup and I was suspicious. Besides what kind of decent women would do that. I think I would be afraid of getting some kind STD or AIDS or whatever.
brygidab 08/22/2004
I'd check if it is worth doing it:)))
forgotten hero 03/17/2004
If they were clearly drunk or if I wasn't interested then I would politely decline.

I'd say: I think you've had one too many beers, your vision seems to be distorted
abichara 03/10/2004
Again it all depends on the situation. Women usually don't come up to men asking for a one-night stand without no strings attached. Women who would do this have probably been around the block a few times, but again, if she's hot, it would be difficult to say no.
jporterTN 03/10/2004
I'm too cynical/suspicious to give this any serious contemplation. I'd be wondering where he stashed the duct tape and hunting knife.
AndrewScott 03/09/2004
What I wouldn't say: I take cash, Visa and PayPal. Nor would I joke: You're too late. I've just given it out to a sock puppet. What I would say: Thanks for complimenting me, but I don't happen to be on the market.
ClassicTVFan47 03/09/2004
Say no. I would then inform them of the dangers of pre-marital sex and try to convince them that sex isn't needed for love and that other pleasures in life can be found.
kamylienne 03/09/2004
Leave an imprint of my wedding ring embedded in his cheek. Maybe he'll get the message.
scarletfeather 03/09/2004
I would say no. That kind of situation has no appeal for me.
tvtator 03/09/2004
I'd tell them no. I'd tell them I'm not comfortable in this situation, and that I'm not that type of person.
