This is just a lack of common sense

It's bad in Kansas City too! I generally drive about 5 miles over the speed limit but still keep to the right unless my exit is to the left. Then, I keep up with traffic. But, there are always those people who have to be in the left lane for some strange reason!

Once saw a report on TV where the reporters went into the passing lane travelling at the speed limit. The other drivers were furious with him.

They're bad, no doubt, but I find equally troublesome and dangerous fast drivers in the slow lane. I don't know how it is in other states, but in NJ, there are drivers out there who don't believe there exists such a thing as a "slow lane." They're generally the a**holes driving 85 to 90 miles an hour, changing lanes without signaling, chattering away on their cell phone with one hand, alternating between Sean Hannity and Mike Savage on the radio dial with their other...

This is a very customary driving trate in the Seattle area... they just don't get it.. Left lane is for passing !!!!

This is for those of you who fit this category. BEWARE!!! You are dangerously close to having an unfortunate accident on the freeway. You are a menace to society. If only there was an effective way to police this behavior, short of Big Brother-like surveillance.

I think anything on this list could cause road rage-and justifiable homicide-this is just the latest..

Very aggravating. You're not supposed to pass them on the right. I usually find a way to make eye contact and signal them to get over. I've found eye contact usually works. Sometimes getting their attention is the problem. Often these people are on cell phones or are distracted by other things.

Boy do I wish sometimes that I had an instant seat ejection button for their car......oh if it was a perfect world.......

This doesn't bother me as much as when two cars occupy both lanes and both go the same speed. I have been behind people like this before and niether one will change speeds, even when you make it clear that you would like to pass.

Slow drivers get on my nerves anyway. they really have no business driving slow in a lane meant for the faster drivers. It can be just as bad on other roads. Especially when it is hard to pass them. I see this a lot. They are oblivious to anyone behind them and drive as if they have all the time in the world to get where they want. Their type of driving can be dangerous to other drivers who become irrate and try and pass them causing an accident.It is also frustrating to be stuck in a car as a passenger with a slow driver, i wish there was an accelerator on my side of the car so I can speed them up.

It's anybody's right to drive slowly, however if you're going to do so, please stay to the far right unless you have to make a left turn. Going too slow on the passing lanes blocks up traffic unnecessarily. It is all a matter of going with the flow of traffic. If everybody did what they're supposed to do, there would be no need for arbitrary speed limits.

ClassicTV doesn't seem to comprehend a concept that is intuitive to many. You see, ClassicTV, it's about traffic flow: faster vs slower, not about arbitrary speed limits. The morons who haven't learned efficiency and courtesy on their own will be unlikely appreciate the very sensible and safe autobahn Fahren Sie rechts! (Drive [always] to the right) concept. It's not enough to keep right. You need to keep up with traffic, even in the middle lanes. It's great to see people from St Louis waxing as though St Louis is some sophisticated metropolis. The truth is, St Louis is not even one of America's 10 biggest cities. It's hilarious to seem St Louisers imply that IL is a parochial backwater. Chicago is a real city while St Louis epitomizes wannabe. St Louis drivers are as annoying as anywhere: driving 40 when their lanes' are moving 60 -- just like the wannabe jersey jakasses who can't drive, who lie and tell everyone they're from New York we have to contend with in NYC. You can spot who's inexperienced at driving in traffic in nyc. Californians and Canadians are great. They keep up and a safe distance, keeping traffic moving. JJs, new englanders people with Maryland, VA and MO plates people invariably drive 40 when their lanes are moving 60. Oh, but theyre not in the left lane. Doesn't matter genius. The whole point of moving right is to avoid hindering traffic trying to move faster than you. It's not so hard. If your lane's going 60, you go 60, or move right. Naturally, you're excepted if you're as far right as you can go. Also, you have the right of way over someone entering from an on-ramp. Keep your speed and let them move into traffic. Don't vary your speed and screw up everything. Keep up or keep right. If you're in a middle lane and more than 2 seconds behind the guy in front of you, either close the gap or move right. Another good tip: do the opposite of what jersey jackasses and St Louisers do.

One of the most dangerous types on the road

I don't think we even need to comment on this one, pretty self-explanatory.

This one irks me quite a bit. I have to say that in some instances in driving on I-287 in New Jersey I've been driving upwards of 75 MPH and around 80, only to have people tailgate me within seconds...that's a little scary, but even if you are obeying the posted speed limit, keep to the right or move over after you've passed someone.

Very irritating. Clearly, the right lane is the slow lane. Please move over.

Drives me crazy. I really hate it when I'm in the passenger seat, and he/she is rattling on about something oblivious to the line of irritated people building up behind.

Not just irritating, but dangerous. And for ClassicTVFan, we're talking about drivers who are ten to twenty mph UNDER the speed limit in the far left lane. If you want to drive at that speed, get your butt over to the right where it belongs. A lot of accidents are caused by morons like this.

Maybe they are just obeying the posted speed limit!
