I woud not have been overcharged on gas if the customer service representative could speak English and was not trying to rush me through the rental car pickup. I chose "prepaid" option for gas, thinking I was locking in gas at $4.16/gallon, which they would charge for whatever the tank needed only. I used only a quarter tank of gas, and they charged me $78.00 for a full tank of gas! They were rude and rushing me when I picked up the car, and very rude when I dropped it off. I tried to ask about my bill and the attendant who hardly spoke English would only say, "this is your receipt", implying it as though I was stupid. He could hardly speak English, and I was in America. What's going on here? I would never go to France and expect them to adapt to my English language. I would never rent a vehicle from them again!
