I was actually on an episode of Really Big Things with Matt and he is a great person and fun to be around. He made it easy to be in front of the camera with his fun and outgoing personality. Everyone that was around him had fun so I have to say that feeling sorry for those of us who have had to "deal with him" is not necessary because he is in no way whatsoever obnoxious. There were quite a few people that worked with him for the show and all of us had fun and enjoyed the time we spent with him.

Watched a Science Channel program, "Really Big Things." This would be a good show except for the host, Matt Rogers. He is VERY ANNOYING. It's a shame, because that would be a good show otherwise. I felt sorry for all those people that had to deal with him during the filming of the show. You could see it in their eyes: The fact that he is an obnoxious, annoying person. Perhaps he is just trying to hard to be humerous? If so, it doesn't work!

Matt was a n OK singer, actually good at times. he is a good reporter covering American Idol. He should try sports reporting, with his background in college football.

Matt has the potential to be an outstanding singer, but he is not ready yet. He needs to find his style. We all hated his smiling while he was singing Amazed.

Matt was okay, but he needs to work more on that singing a bit. It's kind of dull. He has the enthusiasm, but his singing wasn't as strong as the others. I remembered seeing him competing in the Rose Bowl a few years ago, but maybe singing wasn't a good route for him. Don't quit your day job Matt!

He was WAAAY too happy when singing Amazed or anything else for that matter. In other words, no range of emotion. Just all happy.

Seems like Matt might be a 'Friend of Dorothy'?

He showed petintal early in the competition but like simon cowell said, Country was his night and he screwed up with some randow sucky song where he could have took on a a Garth Brooks type song and stole another week.

Dude had chutzpah, but not much else. Several of his performances were Hung-worthy.

What you won't do for love!?!?!? What I won't do to make sure that I never have to listen to that cocky, loudmouthed, annoying pavrotti wannabe ever again. So he used to be a footballer! He probably couldn't control himself around all those naked men in the changing rooms. I don't know about coming out of the closet - I'd rather he stays in there and we get that closet soundproofed so that we don't have to listen to his God awful voice ever again!

Get over your closet-homo-crush on Simon and take some singing lessons and some cardio funk classes, chubby!

he can sing opera so he can sing pretty darn well and i loved the song amazed he should still be there and he made me laugh every time i saw him and ended the best, take that simon

Sad to see Matt go. I really enjoyed his performance his last night Simon when you touch me Priceless! Not the best singer, but awesome personality.

I like this guy's personality. He seems like he is always having a good time. But...he will not win the competition by a long shot.

Matt is really cool. He has so much fun on stage and seems to love what he's doing.

He played college football with the Washington Huskies and they actually won the Rose Bowl that year. He would have been a good fit for that Country american idol that they tried a year ago, but it's kind of cool to see a break from the traditional pop singers.
