This really brings back the memories for those of us old enough to remember. The Bums from Flatbush finally beat the hated Yankees. Too bad the Dodgers pulled stakes and left all their fans behind just three years later!

It was finally next year for the Dodgers who succeed in their eighth trip to the Show. Johnny Podres twirls two masterful games, Duke Snider pounds the Yankee staff with 4 homers, and Sandy Amoros denies the last Yankee hope with a game saving catch late in game seven. One of the best series ever.
