not too bad. she was cute as Tootie, the first season they had her on roller skates since she was the youngest kid there. this was when they had about seven girls. the next season the only kept three of the originals and axed the others { including Molly Ringwald who went on the make all those teen movies} the second season she lost the roller skates. and they seemed to make her less "cutsie" i did not feel like she was a token myself she seemed an equal. although I saw Kim Fields in a show once about former child stars and she joked what it was like to be the only black child in a all white cast. so a two I guess.

She was just "one of the girls", and Mrs. Garrett treated them all equally. And, aside from the fact that she was the youngest, the older ones eventually took her under their wing, and they all ended up being very good friends. It was all-in-all a good program with morals.

She stole all her scenes in early episodes, and her character was probably the most likable of the four main leads. She was central to her ensemble's success, as opposed to being a token character that gets included in scenes as an afterthought. The only token roles on The Facts Of Life were the cameo parts given to the male actors.
