No Question that this is the best world series of all time. Games 6 & 7 might even be the best games of all time as well.

An iron man performance by Morris, a great team victory, the series had drama, two teams that totally reversed their previous seasons, and superstars who gave the fans great performances.

This was right up there with the 1975 World Series between the Reds and Redsox. The difference between these series was not the closeness, because every pitch meant something. This was so close that every swing of the bat was crucial in all seven games. The only reason I rate 1975 higher is because of all of the Hall of Famers that dominated the stage from both teams in 1975, but this one was every bit as exciting.

This one, and the 75 Series, were probably the hardest fought, most exciting ones of my lifetime.Incredibly, both clubs had finished last the prevous year.

Wow. The extra innings. . .Kirby Puckett's heroics. . .the defense. . .the pitching. Jack Morris' shutout all the way into extra innings. . .It was like watching this incredible drama unfold on my TV. It was the first World Series I watched while drinking underage with my buddy- we looked at each other and agreed on the following: It's a shame someone has to lose this series. Best I've ever seen.

Incredible. John Smoltz pitching against his childhood hero, Jack Morris, in a game of epic proportions. It was a little weird to see six guys jumping up at the same time at home plate after Dan Gladden scored, but that just added to the drama.

Both teams had gone from worst to first, which had never happened even once in a season in baseball history. Exciting stuff in the series, with five games decided by a single run, three in extra innings and four on the last at bat. Game 7 which was scoreless into the tenth, was one of the best Series games ever. Morris pitched all ten innings in the clincher for the Twins and was a deserving MVP.
