As all of the Spice Girls were tokens to a degree, Scary Spice doesn't really rank up there with the greats. With that said, Melanie Janine Brown seemed to be one of the more talented of the five.

Of course, she was token but really weren't all of them? Each were picked to represent a certain faction of girls- the blond, the redhead, the sporty girl...It seems to me they were all token in a way.

I don't think any of them were especially talented but yeah, she was probably included because of her race.
