She is kind of a windbag and heavily to the left.

She is Darth Bader. She is so far to the left she fell off the planet and her head exploded for lack of oxygen but there were only meaningless ideas in it about how great abortion is and gay marriage.

Ginsburg is a leftist nut. Her opinions make it look as though she's never even read the constitution. It was a bad idea for President Clinton to appoint a justice who used to hold a high position in the American Communist Liars Union--the ACLU for those of you in Boston. Truly, she makes things up as she goes along. That's fine if you're Indiana Jones; not so good if you are a justice on the Supreme Court.

I don't agree with a lot of her views regarding the Constitution but I am a firm believer that Jews have the best legal minds, therefore, she receives my endorsement.

The leftist ideologue who believes the rights and privileges clause of the 14th Amendment is an empty vessel through which she can dissolve democracy and the American Way of life in favor of her own personal philosophy. She once argued that Mother's Day and Father's Day should be replaced with a Unisex guardian day and that polygamous relationships and marriage are probably guaranteed within the emanatations and penumbra of the Bill Of Rights. Oh! And you thought conservatives are off their rocker when we argue that after gay marriage polygamy is the next frontier on this final assault against moral standards??? Of course jurists like Janice Brown and Pricilla Owen are labelled extremists by the Democrats these days but lunatics like Ginsburg are A-Ok with them! This old bat can't retire soon enough.

I gave her a 3 star because she is so ugly she must have nothing else to do than to practice law :D

A characteristically weak jurist, typical of Clinton's track record (vis-a-vis Madeleine Albright, Warren Christopher, Louis Freeh, Janet Reno, George Tenet) but who today is as far right as Ginsburg is far left? What would a conservative's background include to equate to Ginsburg's nearly exclusive affiliation to liberal causes?

By far the worst justice on the Supreme Court. Anyone who disagrees needs to read Casey v. Planned Parenthood - she rants for 9 pages about how Roe v. Wade doesn't need to be overturned and then overturns it - WITH NO BASIS FOR WHAT SHE CREATED!!!

Worthless liberal scum!
melott 02/10/2004
Seems to have limited interest in anything but the 1st Amendment. You would be hard pressed to find any intense writing from her on the court in anything but civil rights. Her habit of citing International law is disturbing as it has as much persuasive authority as the rules of poker.

The Hon. Madam Justice Ginsburg is a disgrace to our country. She's a Howard Dean only on the supreme court!

Individual liberties has always been a high priority for the second female Justice in the history of the Supreme Court. Her strife-ridden life has allowed her to gain experience much needed in a court. Her staunch stance on women's rights as well as those of minorities is to be respected.

When you are sworn in as justice of the U.S. Supreme Court you swear to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution. The AP reports that Ginsburg has allowed international law to influence her court decisions. She's broken her oath to uphold and defend the constitution. I'm not saying we can't learn anything from other countries but they sure as hell had better not be allowed to dictate our policy! This kind of thing makes our founding fathers turn over in their graves. This is serious sh*t. Ginsburg is a liberal and that says it all right there. Libiots want to re-write our constitution because it limits their power. Well, I love my country, our constitution and Hell will freeze over before I let anyone re-write it. Besides, I've heard some libiots threatening to move to Canada because they hate how conservative America is. Let me know when you are moving. I'll come help you pack.

Mrs. Ginsburg has proven since her appointment in 1993 that she is a competent Supreme Court justice. Of course, her past work for the ACLU and women's rights makes it obvious that she is on the liberal side of the fence. However, her realistic and pragmatic approach towards making important decisions on the High Court that effect our daily lives is admirable. Mrs. Ginsburg provides the perfect balance against the right-wing branch consisting of Rehnquist and Thomas.

She is a pretty good judge. She is a liberal Democrat, but is a respectable judge, and while she may be out there on some issues, she seems to rule on what she seems fit. She is a fair judge.

Another Clinton mistake!

A good justice who has ruled in favor of equal rights rather than class domination. I don't agree with all her decisions, but ditto with the rest.

Justice Ginsburg has never gotten the recognition she deserves. Certainly she may be new, but perhaps our dear chief justice, that lunatic Rehnquist, ought to take some advice from her once in a while. What I like about Ginsburg is that she can understand just about anything. Analysis is an important thing...she's level-headed and realizes that jumping head-on into something is the most dangerous thing anyone can do. Oh yes, the fact that she is quite liberal is a definite turn-on for me. Because she is indeed a fairly new justice, I am confident that in the many years she will continue to serve on the Court, it cannot turn into a total madhouse. Take care, everyone!
