Just great if you're a sailor and wearing the rest of the uniform. Otherwise rather foolish looking.

One of my uncles was a career Navy guy and gave us some old ones to play with when my sister and I were kids. I've always enjoyed costumes and so this was a great addition to my collection. Like most hats, they look cute on little kids. I would have to wonder about someone over the age of 10 wearing them around though - unless, of course, they recently enlisted in the Navy.

Sailor hats look a bit childish. Not that I'm bringing down the navy or anything like that.

Agree with 'irish' on this one. If you're not a sailor.. leave it at home.

Call me wierd, call me what you must, but this hat is really fun to wear on a date...it usually makes the guy laugh hysterically. It is cute...

I have a picture of my dad in his Coast Guard uniform when he was a young man. He looks very cute and wholesome in his sailor's hat.
