 | Piston91 (1) 06/18/2008 | Cope plain and simple is overpriced your paying for the brand name the flavor is good i wont disagree with any one on that point but it lasts 30 minutes and with 6 bucks a tin that just isn't worth it to me. Grizzly is cheaper is better tasting at least their straight is better tasting and it is 2 bucks less for a tin plus u save more buying it in a roll then u do buying cope in a roll.

 | TellEmWhyYouMad (0) 06/11/2008 | Too expensive for what you get. I can dip a can of Grizzly Snuff for half the price of Copenhagen and it tastes like Copenhagen. The American Snuff company makes some good dip! Dip Grizzly Snuff dummies!

 | OceanSoul (4) 04/22/2008 | Copenhagen moist snuff is one of the worst tastes I have ever had in my mouth. I tried Copenhagen Black too, which tasted okay and the mid-cut was good. I don't like snuff and don't use it, and if you don't want your kids to use it give them a big dip of Copenhagen, because it is an acquired taste that most people will not take the time to acquire.

 | Levi27 (0) 04/04/2008 | Ive been on cope reg since i was 14, here in canda a can has 15g where in the states its around 32g i figger, and i pay $7.50-$8.50 a can dependin on where you buy it, but my lord i love it. Its the one thing thats always been there for me. If i was nippling up at the rigs swing a sledge with mud up to my knees, or out on the lake casting a line, or even layin in to the old lady shes been there for me and i 'preciate, but it certainly is an expensive, passion. haha

 | Lanham (0) 03/23/2008 | I've been dipping Copenhagen for the past 22 years. Since switching over from Kodiak when I was 17 I've never had another brand between my cheek and gum. Lately though I have been considering trying some of the cheaper alternatives. Copenhagen is just too expensive. One hundred dollars a month is just too much to be spending on a bad habit.

 | thwrmth (0) 03/13/2008 | "Copenhagen, makes me feel good!" Come on how many other chews is there a song dedicated too? The eldest, time tested, wisest, smoothest, worst-for-ya, best time in a can you can buy.

 | crazyirish (0) 03/13/2008 | Copenhagen is the shit...I've tried like every brand and none of them can compete with cope. It gives u a good buzz gets u feeling great..unlike the others where u gotta fill up your whole bottom lip and top and all around just to get a small buzz. Nothing better than a dip of cope.

 | haibacht (0) 02/05/2008 | Black is the only Cope I truly love, the whiskey blend and Smooth Hickory are just not a good replacement. I cannot figure out why they would stop making it. Most the stores I shop at had a hard time keeping it on the shelf. Now I am searching other brands.

 | HybriDesign (0) 01/31/2008 | I went from smoking to dipping, and honestly I find the price to be just fine (Cheaper; 1 pack of smokes: $4.00 * day - 1 Can of Cope: $6.00 * week) And I like all of cope's flavors, but in the end it still comes back to good ol long cut (sometimes 50/50 with snuff, can't do full out snuff, always manage to swallow it) All I can say is Skoal is for people who can't admire the true natural taste of smokeless tobacco. Grizzly's just for those nicotine fiends (*raises hand*), but cope sits right in the middle, decent amount of nicotine, beautiful smell and flavor, and no tooth-rotting sugars.

 | zfsefhsgjnfkdgfd (0) 01/27/2008 | I like what copenhagen did with the new cans. The bottoms of the old cans used to be cardboard and the dip would dry out all the time, which made me dislike Cope. Now they are plastic and lock in moisture better, which is a plus. But I have 2 problems with copenhagen, the first one is obvious. Price. Its way too damn expensive. The second one is that it's not strong enough. I appreciate that they don't put tons of fiberglass in there, but I don't even get a buzz. You guys need to put processed nicotine in there, that is if those FDA bitches will let you!

 | drkseph (4) 01/16/2008 | Cope tastes like crap, its always too dry and too fine, even the long cut. And the hickory and whiskey flavors suck.

 | Fladipper (0) 12/21/2007 | i don't know what has changed in the new Cope cans.
I have dipped regular straight cut and snuff (fine) for yrs.
Then the can advertisement changed but I was told it is the same plain Copenhagen long cut.
It tastes like they put sweetener in it or some kind of mild mint flavor in it. And the smell is horrid. Like rubber boots with a hint of mint.
Maybe it was the black everyone is talking about that I got all the time. I'm with those that will quit if the black doesn't come back.

 | needausername (0) 11/21/2007 | Copenhagen is the stuff many people graduate to when they've been dipping other brands for a while. For a beginning user, it can be very strong.
I suspect that in the beginning, God created Copenhagen. Then He realized that it was too good to keep for himself so he created man to share the pleasure of this fine creation. So he created man. And it was good. But then He saw that some men preferred not to benefit from Copenhagen. So he created women, as a warning to all men of what they would be like without Copenhagen. Fortunately some women were wise, and benefited from this creation also. These are rare finds. There is nothing like sitting on the front porch and sharing a spittoon with your partner.

 | grizzyman4life0325 (0) 11/08/2007 | If they lowered the price i might consider dipping it regularly. I cant stand dipping straight or snuff. long cut is okay. black is really good if you can bear the mildew smell that it possesses (whatever happened to that stuff by the way). new flavors that came out: smooth hickory and whiskey blend; definately worth trying. My fav. would have to be hickory its amazing!!

 | whous (0) 11/04/2007 | Nothing on the market compares to this in terms of cut. It rocked. I'm driving the country finding everyone's last can. Even the one's dated 7/30 are still better than anything else on the shelf. In terms of flavor, it leads. The only other that comes close is traditional copenhagen snuff, but I can't stand the fine cut.
Once you had black you never go back, baby!

 | AZVaquero (0) 10/31/2007 | I am 50 yr old and have always used regular Copenhagen until Black was introduced. I convinced 2 other people to try the Black over their brand.
The agreed like me, and we 3 all began to use the Black. All of us want the Black back. Oh, by the way, we ALL agree the Hickory is awful. I will switch to Red Man fine cut before using the Hickory or Wiskey.

 | bringbacktheblack2007 (0) 10/28/2007 | The US Tobacco Co. needs to BRING BACK THE BLACK! In MS they have introduced two new blends of Cope: Whiskey and Hickory. That's fine and dandy, but they have removed the BEST AND REPLACED IT WITH THE REST. Copenhagen Black is better than any other blend of Cope and I am calling on fellow dippers to unite and say ---- BRING BACK THE BLACK! If you feel the same as I do, call the corp. office at 203-817-3000 and let's start a national movement and once again -BRING BACK THE BLACK.

 | NCcoonhunter1 (0) 10/23/2007 | I went through high school chewing skoal straight because I was never a fan of the fruity stuff. For about three years now I have been chewing copenhagen black. I made my brand of choice because I love the flavor and the fact that its mid cut. Long cut seems to tear my lip up. The new cope hickory, whiskey, and straight are not worth even trying. What in the world are they thinking taking black of the shelves for that shit! If thats all thats going to out there I will quit all together. Black was the best thing since peanut butter and sliced bread.

 | HoustonTexas (0) 10/22/2007 | Yes I think I will quit all together. If I can't get Black it's not even worth the effort.

 | Redrum99 (0) 10/21/2007 | Have dipped Black a few times, I cannot figure out why they would get rid of. I liked the smooth hickory. I like regular. It's moist and I like the non-mint flavors every once in a while, and while I trust Grizzly for mint I don't trust it for wintergreen or regular. Copenhagen for Natural. Skoal for Wintergreen and Grizzly for Mint.

 | Wilk99 (0) 10/01/2007 | Copenhagen Black is the best on the market! However, here in Columbus, Ohio it's like trying to find a needle in the haystack. I'm just about tired of driving 20 to 30 miles a day just to find one can! Especially on holidays. It takes 2 weeks and 60 to 80 miles to find a can. Is there a way to get this delivered to my home?

 | OutlawCowboy (1) 09/06/2007 | I've been dipping Copenhagen since I was 8-9 so that gives me 'bout 10 years on it. I love it, I've damn near dipped and chewed everything I could buy. Skoal, grizzly, red seal ::throws up::, and you name it I've had it. Copenhagen is the top dog, fruity shit makes me sick and is in that case made for the 'fruity'. Copenhagen Black is nice, but I was a fan of putting Jack in my long cut and throwing it in the fridge. Not bad at all. I got me a can of straight he other day and found their changing cans again. It will be a plastic can with a tin top like Black and instead of saying Copenhagen it'll say Cope Straight. And guess what!? NEW FLAVOR COMING!!! Get this, Hickory and Whiskey flavor. I tell you what I love hickory smoked meat and I like me some whiskey. So God Bless Copenhagen.

 | linemanrt60 (1) 08/30/2007 | Wow. I used to hate dip but after a can of cope black and a can of cope straight I think I may have found a new favorite in the line of smokeless tobacco. Still can't stand wintergreen flavors or heavy fruit flavor. This stuff is high quality its like grizzly wintergreen is a swisher sweet and copenhagen is a fine handrolled cigar.

Let me guess your favorite chew is "citrus" or is it "peach". well whatever it is i suggest that you go out and buy a can of copenhagen black and finally become a man. just remember it takes a true cowboy to chew cope.
