This song sucks and it wasn't even written by an Irishman.

*Update* Well, here's a version I can live with: Swedish Chef, Animal, and Beaker:

Thank God I wasn't in a place that had an Irish theme, nor was I out late enough to probably get involved with singing this.

I am neutral on this version of the Londonderry Air as it is overplayed and overdone.

I like this song but for some reason, I can never remember all the lyrics.

Awful. I cannot stand this dreadful gushy song. The plastic leprechaun of Irish music.

This song was a must- sing in music class in my 5th grade Catholic school on St. Pat's day. It actually brings back nice memories.

The transcription for military band (sometimes called wind-band) by Percy Grainger is appropriately called Irish Tune from County Derry. When played well, it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. If you are looking for a recording, go with the Washington Winds. Top notch.

I'm not Irish, but this song has the same effect on me as The Quiet Man and makes me wish I was. I've shed a few tears over this song myself.

Sober or drunk, it's definitely a stirring song.

Actually this song reminds of that damn ice cream truck that keeps driving around my neighborhood. Over and over and over they play this awful song. This song is probably the reason why the irish drink.

This is the song that I generally make believe is a Jewish drinking song.
