One of the greatest voices of the 50's through the mid 60's, with a respectable catalogue of fine hits.

Higher and Higher alone makes him special- the Funk Brothers moonlighted on this song, and James Jamerson sounds great on bass- perhaps that is why in Ghost Busters the ghost gets all excited by hearing the great bass playing.

Jackie Wilson who died tragically, was a mismanaged talent with the ability to sing Danny Boy as well as Reet Petite.
