Up there with Robinson and Santo among the great 50's/ 60's third basemen, though not quite as good as they were. Maybe not the fielder that his brother Clete was with New York and others, but a much better hitter. Managed for a while with St. Louis in the late 70's before dying young. An important part of the Cardinals, and a member of the 64 champs.
