"The Penguin" ( so nicknamed because he used to waddle up to the plate) was a fine third baseman, part of a great Dodger's infield with Garvey, Lopes, and Russell. Cey had power, was a serviceable defender at third, and also played for the Cubs and A's in his rather lengthy career.

The Penguin was a very good fielder and clutch hitter.
