Solid third baseman, and will be a deserving Hall of Famer when he retires, but he's not in the class of the true greats at this position.

Best third baseman when it is all said and done.

chipper jones rocks. he is so good that he did't even play collage ball. he is so good that his high school had never even won the divisional tournement. but in his seinor year he took his team up to state.

I was at a D-Backs/Braves game and sat just off of third. These knuckleheads were talking trash about Chipper Jones when a line drive was sent screaming down the third base line. Jones bagged it like nobody's business and the knuckleheads never said another word about him in the game.

He may be the best of his time, but I don't think he should be ranked as one of the top ever.

An even better hitter than Rolen, but not in his class with the glove, has played the outfield as well. Good player, very good at his best that has helped the Braves in their amazing streak of postseason appearances. Starting to slow down, but a very fine career.

Chipper Jones is an inspiration to all of us. He isn't recognized as much as he should be because of his ability to not be cocky. I am proud to be a supporter of him and the Braves altogether.
