While he didn't playe his entire career at second base, he did spend the majority of his career there. Winning a few Gold Gloves in the process, and has climbed his way up the list for All Time homeruns by second baseman.

It's only recently that the public at large has begun to appreciate just how great this guy is. He doesn't have a glaring weakness- he usually hits for good averages, can hit over 20 homers, steals bases,is a fine fielder, knocks in runs, draws walks, etc. Is aging remarkably slowly, and will undoubtedly make the Hall. He has rather quietly sneaked up into the top 7 or 8 second basemen in MLB history IMO.

he held his own. i admire the guy b/c he's been able to adjust to a number of positions for the Astros. a real team player.
