Didn't see him play alot being on a NL team but I remember how dangerous he was to pitch inside. To a level that I've seen no other player achieve.

Best 2b of the 80's, a power hitter who could run too, and an obvious HOF'er.

A very tough out, Sandberg's career was harmed by never getting to a series and the bizarre, retirement-unretirement saga at the end of his playing days. A very good, if not spectacular gloveman, he was a ferocious hitter in his prime.

Incredible player who played for the love of the game. Did you know he started playing second base in the bigs? He played most of his life at third. It is a shame his cheating wife messed with his head enough to throw off his career.
