Comparable to say Alomar as far as modern players go. A fiery, hard hitting player with the Giants and Cardinals with good speed and defense, who also managed a few clubs, including the 1934 Series winning Cards. Also remembered for getting quite a few undeserving teammates into the Hall in the 60's and early 70's. Other than Hornsby, the best second baseman of his era.

Frankie Frisch, other than Hornsby, Collins and Morgan, rates favorably against any other second baseman in major league history. He was solid hitter with great speed and an excellent defensive second basemen. He was very highly regarded by his peers. Frankie Frisch won the MVP in 1931 and was second in 1927 and 1930. He was the best player of a New York Giant team that won four straight pennants (1921-1924). He was traded for Rogers Hornsby in 1926 and led the Cardinals to the four N.L. pennants.
