I always thought Willie Randolph was underrated because he never went out for the limelight...he just showed up everyday and did he job with skill and class and led his teammates by example.

Probably the most underrated of the 70's/ early 80's Yankees- solid hitter, very dependable fielder, always tried hard. Played with other clubs, like L.A.- but about 70% of his career or something was with N.Y. Currently manager of The Mets.
