A very powerful HOF slugger of the 30's and 40's. Thank God he signed with the Tigers instead of the Yankees who were also pursuing him when he was a kid in New York. Don't know where he'd have played with them, as Gehrig was at first base, probably the outfield, but that would've made a great team even greater. Hit as many as 58 homers, drove in tons of runs, and was, along with Gehrig and Foxx one of the most feared hitters of that era, in fact among the most feared of all time.
