An excellent first baseman, and easily in the top 10 at the position, and pushing top five.
Strong glove and a ferocious power hitter, whose memory has been dimmed since his retirement, possibly because he never won a title.

McCovey was a great player with the Giants, who possibly had the greatest team of all time to never win a Series during the 60's and very early 70's (they also had, at various points, Mays, Marichal, Cepeda, Jim Ray Hart, Gaylord Perry, etc.) and one of the most fearsome hitters of his era. A player who unfortunately is underrated by many today. Hit over 500 home runs, a HOF'er, and among the top 10 1st basemen in MLB history.

One of the most dangerous hitters of all time. Stretch was walked intentionally just as Bonds is today. Should rate right behind Gehrig.

As a lifelong Giants fan I grew up watching Stretch. Baseballs would explode off his bat like rockets. He hit in the clutch. Even in '62 when the Giants lost to the Yankees, Willie Mac ripped blistering liners from what I hear. It was before my time
