Very good hitter, even won the MVP in 1971. Probably shouldn't have been catching in the first place, one of the worst defensive catchers on this list. With the combined fine playing career and the massive success of his managerial career he will surely make the Hall after he retires. I'm partly of Italian extraction myself, but even I will say he looks like someone you really REALLY would NOT want to miss a loanshark payment to!
