Underrated, hugely underrated guy in the 30's and 40's with Pittsburgh and then Brooklyn. A Hall of Famer who unfortunately drowned at a young age in the early 50's, not long after his career ended. The best N.L. shortstop of his era, and arguably the best in all of MLB during his career. Fine all-around player.

How is this guy ranked last at this point. He's arguably the 2nd best retired SS in history. Bill James ranks him as # 2 of all time behind only Wagner.
