 | Redoedo (39) 03/22/2007 | An artist of impeccable talent who remains underrated. Anyone who can listen to his "Grace" album and not be moved is incapable of recognizing powerful music. "Hallelujah" remains one of the most powerful songs I have ever heard, both lyrically and vocally.

This man is a legend and the legend is growing. Just about every cop show on TV now uses his cover of Hallelujah as a soundtrack.

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 12/06/2005 | A major talent who put out one of the very best rock albums of the 90's in Grace. More consistent than his father Tim ever was, and that's not meant as a knock on Tim, who I also admire. Incredible voice, great lyricist, did interesting covers, and a fine guitarist. Recommended.

 | mapiper (0) 03/25/2005 | What a truly great artist Jeff was. We lost so much when we lost him. Listen to his work with Gods and Monsters to get some insight into his unique vision.

 | StanUzbeck (14) 08/05/2003 | Good-looking dead guys will always have reputations that far, far exceed their contribution to the world. Dying at a young age is the only noteworthy thing this putz ever did, and it's a shame, but that does not make him retroactively brilliant.

 | TheFreak (3) 02/22/2003 | Grace is a beautiful album. It's not too often that you find a solo singer with such a gorgeous voice who is an equally talented songwriter. The Corpus Christi Carol is enough to give anyone shivers odwn the spine, and Lilac Wine...well...there's just not much beating it. Sadly, another member of the Society of Popular Musicians Who Died Tragically. However, despite having been around but three years, what a wonderful three years it was.

 | Jason1972 (3) 10/28/2002 | Undoubtedly one of the most saddest chapters in rock and roll. This guy grew up barely knowing his father, Tim Buckley, a folk singer who died from a heroin overdose in 1974. And Jeff, who breaks through in 1994 with his album Grace, which is what he did. He graced us with that hauntingly beautiful voice of his, a voice that was flawless, a voice that made Robert Plant and Chris Cornell sound like amateurs, a voice that left us way too soon as he mysteriously drowned in Memphis in 1997. "Last Goodbye" seems like an eerie foreshadowing to his demise 3 years after recording this song. A cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" will make you tingle. That voice will never be forgotten, even though he was with us for 3 years.

 | SpiritualMachine (0) 07/30/2001 | I can't speak words that could possibly do justice to the quality of music that this man produced. Jeff Buckley was a superior human being and his loss is devastating. He was easily the best singer to pick up a microphone in 50 years, with a voice that was so powerful, so smooth and pure it could give you goosebumps. Incredible lyrics, brilliant song writing and a voice unlike any you've ever heard. 5 stars is not enough.

 | abbeyroad81 (0) 07/07/2001 | Grace is one of the most perfect albums ever recorded. What an amazing musician Jeff was. It's so sad that he left us with so little music, but I'm thankful that what he did leave us was so incredible. He has one of the most powerful voices ever recorded and was a songwriting genius. If only more modern-day musicians could create music as beautiful as Jeff's, I would feel better about the present world of music. More people should listen to Jeff. We'd all be better off.

 | txnfx (0) 07/01/2001 | Jeff Buckley was the most soulful, sincere artist to record in many years. He was very talented and touched something in me with his music that I have never felt before.

 | alicat (3) 01/15/2001 | I recently got one of his CD's, White Boy. It was kind of a whim buy. I know that I have heard good things about him but I didn't know what album to get or even how I had heard that he is good. When I first listened to it, it reminded me a little of Radiohead's, KidA. The more I listen to it, I realize that it reminds me of Radiohead because of the unique sound he has. He is very talented and his music is great. I still have to listen to it more since it is a new purchase but so far, I am really impressed with his music.

 | cle51076 (0) 01/13/2001 | Jeff Buckley had an unbelievable gift. His music is phenomenal, and that voice -- well, it was one of God's greatest masterpieces. I hope he is happy wherever he is.

 | destiny23 (0) 01/08/2001 | I suggested Jeff Buckley to the website for two reasons. 1) His beautiful voice 2) The melodic music that he brings to all the songs he performs. Just listen to Hallelujah.
