Relatively brief career, didn't even make it to the majors until he was about 27. Powerful hitter, broke Dizzy Dean's toe with a line drive in an All-Star game, Dean was never the same after that. A line drive hitter with good power and batting averages, mostly with The Indians, from 1929-41, eventually elected to The Hall in the mid-70's.
