Overshadowed by his brother, not as good of a hitter, for one thing,he had much less power, although he was faster and even led the league in steals once, and he was a good hitter overall other than homers, hit .298 lifetime. Terrific fielder, in fact all three DiMaggio's, Joe, Dom, and Vince, were great fielders. Very good player about a 3.5 overall.

Generally underrated, but a solid defensive player and key part of the good Sox teams of the late 40's

Really slick. Tough catches made to look easy. Under-rated. Many media of his day considered Dom a better fielder than his brother, Joe.
