The outfield of Crawford, Ty Cobb, and the largely forgotten Bobby Veach, a big RBI's guy from the 10's and 20's, may very well be even better than the heralded outfield of the same time in Boston of Speaker, Hooper, and Lewis- it's certainly even better offensively than the Red Sox if not defensively. A marvelous player who helped Detroit win 3 straight pennants but no Series in the 1900's, making them kinda like the baseball equivalent of the early to mid 90's Bills in football.
