Great arm, good hitter too, and an integral part of some truly great teams in Brooklyn in the late 40's and 50's.

Carl had them greastest arm in baseball. Everyone had respect for his arm and his ability to throw people out at all the bases.

He was a great player but he wasn't better than Aaron or Clemente.
